Stacia Corbin-Waithe and Alicia Farmer are your online wedding coordinators that would assist you with planning your wedding before you arrive to Barbados. These two ladies have been planning weddings for over 15+ years! They are experienced, play close attention to detail and would be your online planner to get everything organized before you arrive!
Your Wedding Coordinator On Island
Our principal coordinator, Melba Wood, joined Tropical Weddings Barbados in 2009 and we can unreservedly state that Melba's calm, yet friendly manner will reassure you as you look forward to your wedding day. When you arrive in Barbados, Melba will meet with you to finalise all plans and be on hand to answer any questions. On your wedding day, she will look after all the details so you can just enjoy your moment. In the event that Melba is not available, we draw on the expertise of several other experienced coordinators who work with us on a freelance basis.
The Marriage Officiants
Our reverends are careful to perform a meaningful Christian (Anglican or Methodist) ceremony at an unhurried pace, so you can truly savour every moment of your special day. The ceremony includes a short homily, the marriage vows, blessing of the rings, prayers and it will end with the signing of the register. Civil ceremonies can also be arranged if you prefer a non-Christian ceremony, but keep in mind that this will entail an additional visit to the Magistrate Court, and the availability of a Magistrate to perform the ceremony is subject to their court schedule. We can also offer you the services on a non-denominational Christian minister, who is willing to tailor the ceremony to your desires. We will provide you with a suggested outline that you can re-design. The marriage officiant must give the final approval of all ceremony outlines and special requests.
Our Service Professionals
The photographers: Steven Cumberbatch, Josee Cole and Gina Francesca. These sharpshooters of romance specialize in capturing your wedding story in digital format, bringing with them a high level of expertise in all aspects of photography.
The videographer: David Scott and his associates take a careful and methodical approach, so the memory of your wedding is flawlessly recorded for your future enjoyment.
The Music: David Hutchinson and his associates have been performing their magical music for years. Time and time again, we have received so many compliments on how the one man steelband was the perfect choice of music. Wyson Knight and his associates are our sole DJ artists and they would work with you to compile a list of music to dance the night away!
General Conditions of our Service
- Weddings are performed from Mondays to Fridays between 11.00am to 4.30pm.
- Sunset weddings are arranged on request at no additional charge.
- Saturday weddings may be arranged for a supplement of US$100.00.
- We do not usually host weddings on Sundays and bank holidays.
- The marriage officer will be a Minister from the Anglican or Methodist Church.
- Civil ceremonies can be arranged on request and usually involve an additional fee of US$175.00 and a visit to the Magistrate’s court.
