These services are booked with recognized service professionals with a proven track record to ensure your satisfaction. We will handle all of the payments, freeing you up to maximize your enjoyment of your holiday time on island. Wedding Cakes
A wedding cake is the traditional cake served to the guests at a wedding reception (or in parts of England, at a wedding breakfast) after a wedding. Throughout the entire Caribbean, it is unheard of not to have the traditional ‘Black Cake’ for your wedding. This is derived from the English Plum Pudding: a rich mixture of blended fruits soaked in wine/rum and baked. End result - a rich, moist, dark brown cake and this is generally topped with English icing. (Royal icing) This icing holds up well in the Caribbean and is heavily decorated as per the choice of the bride/groom. And no, you do not see the fruits as you would in an American fruit cake.
Flowers & Bouquets
Your wedding coordinator at Tropical Weddings can order extra tropical wedding bouquets and boutonnieres for you and your bridal party, petal baskets for your flower girl and corsages for the special women in your lives. Floral headpieces including full and half halos and hair combs are available or you may prefer the simplicity of a single orchid or a small selection of tube roses. Our florist can also provide additional floral decorations to further enhance the beauty of your ceremony venue.
Photography Packages
Our pool of experienced and professional photographers will capture your Barbados wedding story in full tropical color. For couples staying on the island, the service will include either the digital files only, developed prints presented in a wedding album and the digital images or a Coffee Book of your wedding images. Our wedding photographers consist of: Steve Cumberbatch.
Videography Packages
Relive your day with your friends and family back home. This professionally edited video highlights the beauty of the island and captures the special moments in your ceremony including the mini-reception celebrations. It runs for approximately 30 minutes and we offer NTSC (North America) and PALS (Europe/UK) versions. You can even purchase additional copies ~ perfect for gifts. Additional fees will apply for video shoots requiring more time on location either before or after the ceremony. Extra time on location Church weddings will incur a surcharge.
Music
Your Barbados wedding should be nothing less than what you expected. Time and time again, couples have enjoyed the magical ambiance created by our talented musicians. Playing a well recognized repertoire of contemporary songs with Caribbean flair, our man steel band will ensure your ceremony has a true island feeling. Time and time again, many couples have expressed to us how much they enjoyed the live steel band – this will give your Barbados wedding ceremony such a wonderful ambiance that we strongly recommend that you consider this service!
Beauty Services
In the comfort and privacy of your hotel room, your coordinator at Tropical Weddings, Barbados will organize the manicurist, hairdresser and makeup service professionals will make sure you look and feel your very best. Feel free to bring along a picture of a hairstyle you would like our hairdresser to copy for you for your unforgettable Barbados wedding.
Ceremonial Rituals
Tropical Weddings, Barbados can personalize your Barbados Wedding with the following ceremonial rituals: Unity Candle Ceremony - The lighting of a single candle is an outward sign of the joining of your separate lives in the union of matrimony. Gift of Rose - In the old language of flowers, a single red rose means "I Love You". This simple yet meaningful exchange of roses gives recognition to the gift of love that you have bestowed on each other. The Sand Ceremony -This ancient tradition highlights the coming together of two individuals to create an inseparable eternal union. Jumping The Broom - An African custom in which the couple crosses over the threshold into a new life. Dove Releasing - The release of these tame doves symbolizes the love, fidelity and union of the marital union. Please let us know in advance if there are any other special traditions that you wish to incorporate into the ceremony as these ceremonial rituals must be pre-approved by the officiant.

You’ve longed for this moment and it’s now here. On your wedding day, we will ensure that you have the ultimate experience and that all eyes are... on you. Our luxury vehicles come readily equipped with dependable chauffeurs who will deliver you to the church and reception on time and in style. For decades, our sister company, SunTours Barbados has been providing outstanding wedding transportation. Should you require a separate vehicle for family members or your guests, we can provide that. Worried about your guests making it safely back to their destination after one too many drinks? Not to worry as we can arrange transportation with any of our tour buses or minivans. What about those who are wheelchair bound? Because service and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us, we have a fully air-conditioned, remote control wheelchair lift to accommodate you. Simply put, we go the extra mile to make your day a reality.
Other Enhancements
Couples may choose for Miscellaneous options such as: Rental of red aisle carpet and tiki torches, same day or overnight steam press service of your wedding attire, rental of tuxedo and wedding gowns and provisions of favors or gifts for your guests. Courier Services: Please note that our Wedding Certificates are usually posted via ground transfers and usually takes 8-10 weeks. In the event you would like us to post your certificate via courier we would be more happy to do so!
